Abacus Diagnostics is a provider of quality testing solutions for niche markets in medical diagnostic and research industries. We achieve our corporate goals and long-term sustainability through valuing the loyalty and contributions of our staff and being committed to providing excellence in customer service. We now have a total of fourteen staff and representatives throughout Australia and New Zealand covering all major centres. Our continued strong growth has enabled us to establish a New Zealand subsidiary in May 2002 and now offers improved services to our growing base of local customers.

Abacus Diagnostics was formed in July 1998. Since this time we have become one of Australia’s fastest growing private companies. This was officially recognised in October 2003 when we were included in the Business Review Weekly's list of 100 fastest growing companies in Australia. Other official acclamation includes being acknowledged as one of Australia's leading small businesses in 2001 by winning the Telstra and Queensland Government Small Business Award. The judging and selection of winners of these awards was based on overall business performance including customer service, use of information technology, human resource management and growth.  

Our goal is to provide or source the highest quality products to meet the most specialised needs of our customers. Being Australian owned and run we do not have to comply with any overseas corporate interests directing our product range. The products we sell are chosen because of their worldwide recognition for quality and manufacturer excellence. 

The basis of Abacus Diagnostics is our team of people who share the same wish to make the company competitive through a professional approach to service and support.  The enthusiasm and dedication of these individuals is rewarded through their sharing in the company’s success.    

Late last year, Abacus Diagnostics achieved ISO certification to the 9001:2000 standard. This accreditation represents formal recognition that our internal Quality System, that has been in use for over four years, meets or exceeds the most recent version of the 9000 series standards.  We continue to look to both our staff and our customers for ways in which we can improve. 

Abacus Diagnostics has a commitment to the general community as well as its customers. Each of our directors contributes a share of profits to charitable groups of their choice.
