RNA Medical is a third-party supplier of blood gas, critical blood analytes, and
point-of-care glucose control materials and related services. RNA is a division
of
Bionostics, Inc.,
a leading manufacturer of QC materials. Bionostics provides private label
products and know-how to some of the industry's most respected blood gas
analyser and glucose meter manufacturers. RNA and Bionostics have built a
centre of excellence in QC by focusing exclusively in this field since 1982.
What products are available from RNA Medical?
RNA has a wide variety of QC materials for the laboratory. Their blood gas product line includes aqueous, dye-based, bovine blood-based, and calibration verification controls for blood gas, electrolytes, metabolites, BUN, and CO-Oximetry. RNA also offers EQUIL® tonometry controls and the EQUILibrator® Tonometer.
RNA's new glucose meter products are aqueous-based and may be used on multiple meters from varying manufacturers. We offer calibration verification controls and daily QC products.
RNA also provides a Statistical Service Program free of charge. Customers may choose to submit summary data or individual data points through RNA's Statistical Service Department or via the Internet. Internet submitted data (through the RNA web-site) is compiled in real-time providing immediate access to peer group statistics.
