Metcombi Plasma ELISA

Improved MetCombi Plasma ELISA

Last updated: 06th January, 2016

IBL International (now Tecan) is pleased to announce the release of the improved version of MetCombi Plasma ELISA for the measurement of plasma free metanephrine and normetanephrine.

Fast and reliable assay for assessing plasma free metanephrines

  • Shorter assay time: ca. 4.5 h

  • Calibrated to LC–MS⁄MS

  • Automated test procedure (DSX)

  • Smaller sample volume: 200 µL

  • Higher sensitivity:  Metanephrine: 7 pg/mL, Normetanephrine: 7 pg/mL

Numerous studies have shown that free metanephrines (metanephrine and normetanephrine) in plasma are the best markers for the diagnosis of pheochromocytomes (Grossmann et al, 2006; Lenders et al., 2005; Eisenhofer et al., 2000).
