Precision coupling to develop multiplex xMAP assays for a variety of applications.​​​​​​

​​​​Biography:
Dr. Angeloni received his PhD in Biochemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Inst. and State University. Before joining Luminex he had over 30 years of research and industry experience in developing biochemical, genetic, proteomic, immunology, microscopy, cellular, molecular biology assays and bioinformatic tools.  These technologies were applied to studying the mechanisms and treatments of diseases such as cancer, obesity, diabetes, and the development of DNA vaccines. In his 12 years with Luminex, he has successfully supported the development of high-profile genomic and proteomic assays for research and diagnostics).​​​​​​

With an extensive career spanning over 20 years across diverse sectors including academia, industry, hospitals, and diagnostics, Naveen brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field of life sciences. With a specialization in Protein Biology in his higher studies, Naveen and has further enhanced his qualifications with an MBA from XLRI, a combination that seamlessly integrates scientific proficiency with keen business acumen. His professional journey includes roles as a research associate within Biotechnology and Contract Research Organization laboratories, where he has made contributions & Publications in Cervical Cancer and metabolism research. Currently, Naveen is focused on supporting state-of-the-art technologies in Protein & Pathway Analysis specifically tailored for the Asia-Pacific region.

Peter is a Senior Scientist at Diagnostic Serology Laboratory of Public Health Virology with the Queensland Government. He will be presenting on the “Development of a duplexed flavivirus IgG and IgM immunoassay utilising the Intelliflex DR-SE” at MUG Brisbane.

Emily is a Senior Research officer at Walter and Eliza Institute and will be speaking about Profiling Pregnancy-Related autoimmunity using a Multiplex Autoantibody Assay at MUG Melbourne. 


We honour excellence and innovation in multiplexing research! 

We invite presenters to submit their abstracts for presentation at the event. The best abstract oral presentation for each event, which will be adjudicated by a panel, wins a research grant (to be used on Abacus dx products).

Abstract Submission Guidelines
Theme of Abstracts Research including results using multiplex technology (e.g. bead-based multiplexed immunoassay technology, including instrument, multiplex assays or beads).
Guidelines Please follow the guidelines below to prepare your abstract:

  • It must be written in English.
  • The only method of abstract submission is via the online form (link below).
  • It is the responsibility of the presenter/author to ensure that the abstract is submitted correctly.
  • Abstracts should have less than 250 words.​​​​​​
  • We accept interstate abstract submissions for online presentations.
