We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales & Applications Specialist to join our IVD team in an autonomous field role. As a Sales & Applications Specialist you will work closely with other departments such as Customer Care, Marketing, Applications and Engineering. You will enjoy a variety of activities and responsibilities including customer sales calls, sales analysis, product education, evaluations, training & technical support. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, build revenue, provide training and technical support within a geographically defined territory 
  • Achieve monthly and annual territory and supplier revenue targets
  • Achieve technical support case resolution timeframes
  • Visit established and prospective customers to maintain and develop strong relationships and educate them on the solutions that Abacus dx provides
  • Develop and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline and liaise with the Sales, Marketing, Applications & Engineering teams to implement sales, support and supplier strategies.
  • Report regularly on revenue performance to budget and variance analysis
  • Report regularly on technical cases, customer support requirements and solutions
  • Maintain complete and accurate customer data
  • Proactive communication of customer ordering variations with respect to inventory management
  • Travel to and management of customers across different geographical locations
  • Represent the company at local and interstate conferences and customer events
  • Contribute to the organisational culture and continuous improvement of Abacus dx

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Tertiary qualifications in Medical or Biological Science (Essential)
  • Strong knowledge of the IVD market in South Australia
  • Work experience in a pathology laboratory
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Excellent customer service 
  • Strong time management and prioritisation
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong analytical problem solving
  • Strong teamwork & project management
  • Self-motivated, ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative

HIGHLY DESIRABLE 

  • Proven experience and track record in a revenue creating role
  • Sales experience with IVD products
  • Technical experience with IVD products
