Their latest research investigates the use of genetically engineered induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neural stem cells (iPSC-NSCs) as a potential therapy for ischaemic stroke, an area where effective neuroregenerative treatments remain urgently needed.
How Luminex MAGPIX Multiplexing Platform supported the research:
A key component of their research workflow was the Luminex® MAGPIX® multiplexing platform, which enabled rapid and sensitive measurement of inflammatory biomarkers within their stroke model. Using MAGPIX®, the team identified a significant elevation of MIP-1α (CCL3) just 24 hours following stroke onset, providing valuable insights into the brain’s inflammatory response and highlighting the therapeutic potential of engineered neural stem cells.
