Its innovative technology reduces the freezing time to 30 seconds and prevents ice crystal formation through ultra-fast freezing. With PrestoCHILL, even fatty tissues can be easily frozen without distorting their delicate structures, resulting in a perfectly flat plane surface that can be smothly cut in the cryostat.

FlashFREEZE combines a non-toxic heat transfer fluid with an efficient -80°C Stirling chiller to standardize the flash-freezing of biospecimens. This preserves molecular integrity and facilitates optimal preparation for subsequent genomics, proteomics and metabolomics analyses.
FineFIX Module
Ehanced Manual Staining for Frozen Sections
Heated metal vessels with dedicated reagent to simultaneously carry out the specimen’s fixation, dehydration and lipids extraction, before the standard staining protocol.
The FineFIX Module consists of a heated metal container in which the samples are immersed in Milestone’s FineFIX reagent at 40°C for 60 seconds in order to simultaneously carry out the specimen’s fixation, dehydration and fat extraction. After this step, specimens can be stained according to the user’s standard protocols.
